PEARLS FOR THE GIRLS
Real talk: when I first noticed the trend of pearls on, what seems like, every piece of clothing the good Lord created, I HATED it.
Pearls on jackets? Mkayyyy.
Pearls on hats? *side eye*
Pearls on jeans? WHET?!
Now, don't get it twisted. I'm typically a sucker for a good trend. Especially when paired with a classic style.
*Insert a peplum LBD here*
But pearl detailing sewn onto casual clothing? Who at Miranda Priestly's office got bored?
And then I found this top and the heavens opened and an angel by the name of Rihanna Fenty came down and blessed the purchase.
Okay, so it didn't exactly go down like that but I definitely felt something when I laid eyes on this pearly, tulley number.
My favorite thing about this sweater is how well it's made. I honestly purchased it thinking it'd be trashed within a couple of washes, because of the pearls AND tulle, but alas, it's still in tact after several slays through the aisles of Target.
I'd like to think that Eloquii sewed on each detail with some unknown Wakandan fabric.
And I'm grateful.
